Jul, from Old Norse language, means Christmas. This special seasonal release is from a single cask that once held our Woodcut gin but then got a turn to age our Stjärna Aquavit for around a year. After mellowing the star anise notes and expanding on the baking spices like caraway and orange peel, we macerated additional holiday mulling spices and added just a touch of sweetness to make this a festive treat for the senses.
While fantastic to sip by itself (Santa would approve of this in lieu of milk), please use with abandon in any gin-based holiday cocktail recipe as it will just bring more flavor. Sours, flips, Ramos fizzes, you name it. Cheers!
